Returning to a state of Balance and Health

Medical Qigong - from the comfort of your home

Treatment for emotional blockages, old traumas stored in the body, chronic health issues, and more. Qigong addresses the root causes of emotional, energetic, and physical distress of all kinds.

What is Medical Qigong?

Using the theory and diagnostic parameters of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Medical Qigong uses specialized skill to address symptoms as well as the cause of diseases. Working with the energy body, a differential diagnosis is made, based on Chinese Medical theory. From this diagnosis, a treatment plan is formulated and carried out remotely, and a prescription exercise is given to help solidify an ongoing change in the body, mind, and energy.

Health Qigong, another popular variation of Qigong, is based on exercises and movements that promote general wellbeing. Medical Qigong, however, is done by a competent and thoroughly trained practitioner that can provide a differential diagnosis based on Chinese Medical Theory.

The Stages of Treatment

Though complex, the stages of a qigong treatment can be surmised into a few stages.

Stage 1 - Differential Diagnosis- At this stage, a primary scan of the body will give a LOT of information on the energetic level. This includes not only areas where there is excess or deficient energy, but also what type of qi there is, which can be very in depth.

Stage 2 - Purging. in this stage, the qi of the five primary organs (Liver, Heart, Lungs, Kidneys, and Spleen/Stomach) are cleansed. This includes not only removing excess qi, but removing stagnations such as dampness or heat based on TCM theory.

Stage 3 - Tonification. Tonifying means bringing in pure energy into each primary organ, replacing the Qi that was removed in stage 2. This not only helps provide needed energy to jump start healing, but also helps strengthen the respective organs.

Stage 4 - Balancing. This stage involves making sure one organ or one area of the body does not have too much energy from stage 3. It is like a safety check to not only balance each organ, but also to bring balance to the entire body.

What a Treatment Entails

After filling out an intake form and selecting a time for treatment, there are two options for remote treatment, via zoom or a phone call.

First step is to talk about what you are looking for in this treatment session. After this is discussed, you relax in whatever place is most comfortable for you. Being a distance treatment, it does not matter where you are, but best results are received when you are able to relax and be as receptive as possible.

Most treatments last approximately 45 minutes, which includes work on all the primary organs according to TCM as well as balancing the entire body.

After the treatment is over, you will be called again to discuss what was done energetically, what qigong exercises are most beneficial based on the differential diagnosis, how often to follow up based on this information, and time for follow up questions.

Specialties

While the general treatment discussed above touches all the primary organs, sometimes there are specific issues that need more care. To address this, there are “secondary protocols” that can help with the following areas:

  • Liver Diseases

  • Gallbladder stones

  • Heart diseases

  • Palpitations

  • Spleen and stomach issues

  • Abdominal Pain

  • Lung Diseases (including chronic bronchitis)

  • Kidney Diseases

  • Tinnitus

  • Migraine Headaches

  • Arthritis

  • Parkinson’s disease

  • Bell’s Palsy

  • Stroke (mild, tense, chronic, flaccid)

  • Gynecological issues (including easing transition to menopause)

  • Multiple Sclerosis

“Stillness and action are relative, not absolute, principles. It is important to find a balance of yin and yang, not just in qigong, but in everyday life. In movement, seek stillness and rest. In rest, be mindful and attentive. ”
